Book on Iran director Asghar Farhadi hits Iran’s book market

A book on renowned Iranian director Asghar Farhadi has been published in Iran.

The book titled ‘Farhadi and the Cinema of Questions’ is written by Asadollah Qolamali.

The book which is written in four chapters, analyzes a part of Farhadi’s cinema in each chapter.

Farhadi’s ‘The Salesman’ won the award for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th edition of the Academy Awards this year.

This is the second time that the director brought home an Oscar. In 2012, he became the first Iranian to win the prestigious award for his film ‘A Separation’, which also won the Best Foreign Language award.

Born in 1972, Farhadi is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. Among other awards, he has received a Golden Globe Award.

He was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the world by Time magazine in 2012.
